Párraga
was always drawing on any paper and on any occasion, during a conference
or a talk... not because he wasn’t interested in the topic -he
would always intervene at the end, or at any moment, with his particular
way of talking fraught with the word «like»- but because
of a vital necessity. His friend García Montalvo recalled this
characteristic ability: «...with a
remnant of a cigarette in the crease of his mouth, talking non-stop.
At some point he would smile, stop working, and invite you to a modest
aperitif, always with a bright glass of red wine».

His hand
moved on its own in the middle of that chaos and traced senseless
scribbles, curved or straight -depending on his mood- with no apparent
order, creating a convoluted image that often hid something more.
In this
modest napkin we can easily find some faces -even his own sad and
and haggard caricature can be seen in between the magenta marker strokes.
